Advertising & Business Listing Terms

These Advertising & Business Listing Terms (“Terms”) apply to all paid and unpaid business listings, featured placements, sponsored content, and advertising services (“Listings”) offered by Expat Cousin B.V.("Expat Cousin") via https://www.expatcousin.nl (“Website”).
By purchasing, requesting, or paying for a Listing, the advertiser or business (“Client”) agrees to these Terms.
1. Scope of Service
- Expat Cousin guarantees that the Client’s Listing will be published in the agreed pages on the Website according to the purchased package.
- Expat Cousin does not guarantee the number of views, traffic, leads, conversions, or commercial outcomes.
- Social media promotion, if applicable, is provided on a best-effort basis.
2. Editorial Control
- The Client is responsible for the accuracy, legality, and compliance of all submitted content.
- Expat Cousin reserves the right to edit, categorise, reposition, suspend, or remove any Listing at its sole discretion.
- Listings may be removed if they are misleading, outdated, unlawful, or conflict with the Website’s editorial standards or audience interests.
2A. Social Media Promotion
- Expat Cousin may share, repost, or feature Client Listings on its social media accounts, including but not limited to Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, X (Twitter), and YouTube.
- By purchasing a Listing, the Client consents to such promotion.
- Expat Cousin does not guarantee specific engagement, impressions, reach, or conversions from social media posts.
- Expat Cousin reserves the right to edit, crop, or format the content to meet platform requirements.
- Expat Cousin may tag or mention the Client’s business handles where appropriate, but is not obliged to do so.
- Social media posts may be removed, rescheduled, or edited at Expat Cousin’s discretion.
3. Placement & Duration
- Listing duration and placement depend on the purchased package or written agreement.
- Placement positions are not guaranteed unless explicitly agreed in writing.
- Expat Cousin may update the Website’s layout, structure, categories, or design without prior notice.
4. Pricing, Payment & Refunds
- All Listings are prepaid, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- Invoices must be paid within the stated payment term.
- No refunds are provided once a Listing has gone live.
- Non-payment may result in delayed publication or removal of the Listing.
5. Links & SEO
- Expat Cousin does not guarantee any SEO impact.
- Link attributes (including dofollow or nofollow) may be changed at any time.
- Search engine indexing and visibility are outside Expat Cousin’s control.
6. Liability & Indemnity
Expat Cousin shall not be liable for:- Direct or indirect damages
- Loss of revenue, data, or business
- Claims arising from the Client’s products or services
- The Client indemnifies Expat Cousin against all third-party claims related to the Listing.
- The Client acknowledges that social media promotion may involve third-party platforms and agrees that Expat Cousin is not liable for any platform-specific restrictions, outages, or performance of such posts.
7. Termination
Expat Cousin may terminate or remove a Listing at any time if:- These Terms are breached
- The Client’s business becomes unlawful or misleading
- Continued publication may harm the Website or its audience
- Termination does not entitle the Client to a refund.
8. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by Dutch law. Any disputes shall be submitted to the competent court in The Netherlands.9. Relationship to General Terms
